Tackling domestic abuse

We want to break the cycle of domestic abuse within families. We want to reduce incidents of abuse, to support victims, and pursue perpetrators. We want a Wirral that is free from all forms of violence and abuse.

The Wirral Domestic Abuse Alliance is working to raise awareness of domestic abuse and encourage others to pledge zero tolerance to domestic abuse.

Tranmere Rovers are the latest to back Wirral’s pledge, and will be dedicating a futsal game on 11th December at the REC at Prenton Park, plus two home games on 26th November and 3rd December.

Pop along to the games to show your support – not only for the ‘White Army,’ but also to pledge your support to zero tolerance to domestic abuse.

The club has made a pledge to raise awareness of domestic abuse, and will be working with White Ribbon and Women’s Aid to promote Football United Against Domestic Violence; a national campaign involving clubs, players and fans to send a clear message that domestic violence is always unacceptable.

We don’t let violence on the pitch go unpunished - so why do we let violence in the home go unpunished?
