Wirral Schools take part with internet safety

Internet safety is very important It is important that we understand enough about the Internet to keep children safe from harm but is equally important that we equip children with the skills they need to keep themselves safe online so they can experience the Internet positively and responsibly.

Pupils from Greasby Primary, St Mary’s Catholic  School, Oldershaw Academy and Kilgarth took part in an Internet Safety campaign with Merseyside Police Officers on Wirral. As part of the campaign pupils designed a poster which shows other students how to keep safe online. Each school had a winning entry. The winners were awarded with a Vue Cinema voucher and runner up prizes of Easter Chocolate. The prizes were kindly donated by the Merseyside Police Charitable Trust.

Con Atherton and Con Tivendale attended numerous schools across Wirral and discussed many aspects of keeping safe online and the consequences of cyberbullying .
